Our team of instructors have years of experience in martial arts, and a passion for teaching.  Instructors follow set lesson plans, which have been carefully developed and are regularly updated to remain relevant.

Brian Nutter

The success of a martial artist can be seen through their accomplishments.  The success of an instructor can be see through the accomplishments of their students.  While I am no slouch as a martial artist, my biggest joy is when a student does something today that he or she couldn't do yesterday.  

Career highlights:

  • 5th degree black belt in Tang Soo Do under the US Goodwill Tang Soo do Association

  • 3rd kyu in Kyusho Jitsu under Jim Corn's Kyusho Jitsu

  • Nationally certified in shiatsu massage and Asian Bodywork Therapy

Rebekah Nutter

I started Tang Soo Do because my husband and kids were doing it, and I wanted to spend time with my family.  I continue to train because Tang Soo Do has improved my self-confidence and strength.  These are qualities I want to embody for my children.

I started doing Tang Soo Do with my son when he was 6.  Now he's 17 and we have 4 black belts in the family.

I began working at Lions Pride in the after school program and began training as a white belt.  5 years later, I am ready to test for my black belt. I raise four ninjas at home, too.

 Simeon began training at Lions Pride in ______.  He is training for his 3rd degree black belt.  Simeon teaches the SKILLZ program Lion Kids and Mountain Lions classes.

Jacob Junker

Hyper Instructor

Jacob has a background in martial arts and gymnastics.  He has been certified as a U.S. Gymnastics coach, and will test for his black belt this year.  His unique experience, upbeat personality, and commitment to excellence help him coach our Hyper class to new levels of achievement.

A lesson in practical self-defense

Our instructors and knowledgeable and experienced. Here is a video clip from one of our 2nd year self-defense techniques.  This clip shows one method of escaping two attackers with low kicks to pressure points.
